Meet Dr. Brittany Schmidt D.C.

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Brittany Schmidt understands that health is complex and multi-faceted. She believes reaching and maintaining good health is an individualized process—that what may be right for one person could look completely different for someone else. Dr. Schmidt yearns to empower people to find what their own path to health and wellness looks like. She spends time with patients to truly understand their concerns in order to help find the best treatment plan for their biopsychosocial needs. She believes that most people can benefit from chiropractic care and that every patient deserves an individualized approach and treatment plan. Dr. Schmidt specializes in instrument assisted methods of adjusting and her special interests include nutrition, and women’s health issues especially endometriosis and PMS.
Dr. Schmidt lived in Miami, Florida until high school when her family moved to rural Western North Carolina. She attended Western Carolina University where she earned her B.S. in Emergency Medical Care. After college she worked as an EMT-Paramedic in Orange County, North Carolina before moving to Minnesota for Chiropractic school. She graduated from Northwestern Health Sciences University with her Doctorate in Chiropractic and her Masters in Applied Clinical Nutrition, for which she was the Valedictorian of her class. Dr. Schmidt practiced in St. Paul, MN before relocating to beautiful Vermont where she currently owns and operates River Bend Chiropractic. She continues to keep up to date on the latest research on a variety of health conditions. In her spare time, Dr. Schmidt enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Palmer and Ruby, and can be found hiking, swimming, kayaking, camping, biking, practicing yoga, or playing guitar.
